Myk Robinson
I'm Myk Robinson, founder of Blackoak Productions. I bought my first camera in 2019 to enter a contest to make a music video. It was in that experience I discovered I enjoyed filming and editing. I was determined to learn more so I could create a better end product.
The COVID-19 pandemic led to me (along with much of the world) being on lockdown and looking for something to do. It was then that I started my YouTube channel, Let's Talk About REAPER, to help teach people to use REAPER for audio production, but also to help teach myself more about cameras, filming, and editing. Working from home until the world opened back up as the pandemic began to wane, I learned more about editing and gained certifications in Davinci Resolve. That pushed me to learn more about lighting techniques, filming, and getting things right at the source.
I started Blackoak Productions with a desire to provide quality video production options to businesses and individuals alike and help promote their businesses, build their dreams, and tell their stories.
